Development on The Tale of Fanatica began in 2021 and ended in 2022. After a COVID infection, I lost the energy and motivation to keep going, and ultimately decided to retire from Minecraft mapping altogether in favor of making games in the Godot engine (Minecraft just felt too limiting for what I wanted to create).
But! There’s still plenty of content to explore in Fanatica, and I truly hope you’ll give it a chance. While the map will never be finished in its original form, the story of Fanatica is not dead — it will return someday as a standalone video game, perhaps under a different name. Stay tuned.
Description
The Tale of Fanatica is a heavily Zelda-inspired adventure map where you play as a non-verbal undead thrust into a quest far greater than yourself. Relive lost memories, battle powerful enemies, conquer dangerous dungeons, and fight to save what remains of a shattered world.
The map is fully playable, with a segmented open world, dungeons, puzzles, combat, and loot systems. It may not be complete, but there’s still an adventure here worth experiencing.
Map Features
1/ Six Zelda-style dungeons with puzzles, bosses, and loot (planned: 10 total)
2/ Custom soundtrack for added atmosphere
3/ Fully completed segmented open world to explore
4/ Custom fishing loot tables
5/ Grass & pots can be cut for money and health (yes, Zelda fans—you know the deal!)
Notes & Considerations
Dungeon 3 is poorly designed and was planned to be rebuilt. Cheating through it is encouraged.

The map should be virtually bug-free, and I’ll still patch any issues if reported.
Permission is granted for anyone to use Fanatica as a template or even continue its development.
