Cinderveil is a large-scale open-world CTM map set deep within a sprawling molten cavern, where danger, deception, and deduction are key to victory. The map features 16 objectives, but only 8 slots on the monument—meaning not every wool belongs where it seems. Each wool provides a hint to help guide you, but beware: if a wool does not belong on the monument, its hint is a lie. Your task is to uncover the truth, determine which wools are correct, and figure out the precise order in which they must be placed.
This unique monument puzzle transforms the CTM experience into a test of logic and careful observation. Every decision matters, and the goal is not just to complete the monument, but to do so with the fewest possible submissions, rewarding smart deduction over brute force.
Cinderveil was created for CTM Map Jam 42, hosted by the CTM Community in October 2025, where mapmakers were challenged to design a CTM map around the theme “Hidden in 7 Days.” The result is a carefully crafted world that blends exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving into a cohesive experience.
Players can expect a wide range of custom features, including a monument-based puzzle system, custom random loot, custom enchantments, spawner milestones, and a custom combat system that adds depth and variety to encounters. The open-world design encourages exploration while allowing players to tackle objectives in multiple ways.
