This map is inspired from the Hour of Code game, which by the way, I suggest everyone of you to play.
It is supported by Mojang and it is done to make kids begin to understand what coding is, in a really simple way, using "blocks"
I have attempted to recreate this fun game into the actual Minecraft game :)
It was a good challenge, but I finally reached to overcome it!
The Map
You will need to guide Steve through obstacles in his every day life, using some command-items! Dropping those items will write some fancy code into the Minecraft system!
You can then execute that code by dropping the play button! Too simple? Alright let's add custom length loops and functions and more items!
The map is composed of 9 levels + a bonus level where you can do whatever you want (freedom hurray :D) + a final plot twist (DUN DUN DUUUUN)
Why did I make this map?
I made this mainly to attract more people to coding, either Minecraft command-block or actual coding! I feel like the original Minecraft Hour of Code did a good job on that, that's why I tried to re-create it in the game!
I have created the map in such a way so that you can feel that you are actually writing and shaping it, because you are able to look at your code while it is being executed and also because the final plot twist makes you think literally outside the box!
If you are intrigued by command blocks and coding, you should check out the official Hour of Code playlist I made, where I explain how I made this map!
